Fill an 8” pot which has good drainage with potting soil. Water the soil thoroughly. Place the root stock 2-inches below the soil. Keep your ginger plant in a sunny window, or outside as long as it is warm. Ginger plants cannot take a freeze. Water the plant as soon as it is dry. Fertilize occasionally with a general-purpose fertilizer. Have patience, initial growth is slow, but well worth the wait.
